Hey All. I have been slacking in the blog department. I’m horrible, I know. We’re just so swamped with all of these projects, sometimes I forget to fill you guys in. So, here is the scoop.
L.A……We came, we saw, we conquered. It was amazing. We played an industry showcase for some publishers and film/tv folks. Everyone was really receptive and I got to play Liberace’s piano. Yes, it looks just like it does in your imagination. Next, we played our public show at The Mint. I think half the room was full of Ferguson’s (my mom’s family). We should have titled the show “Family Reunion.” It was fantastic. Anyway, the band definitely owes a big thank you to Dennis O’Donnell and Tiger Club for inviting us out and organizing the whole thing. I can’t wait to get back.
Also in the works, we are going to have a concert special on ShopNBC (for those of you who are unfamiliar, this is just like the Home Shopping Network, but owned by NBC). It’s a national network and we are the first emerging musician they have ever worked with. That deserves a “woot woot!”
The band is plotting for a second music video “The Trains” in the next few months as well. We just have to find a location that is depressing enough for the song. It’s a big downer! Something urban and grungey. So let me know if you have any ideas!
Next up, our trips to Fargo, Columbus, and Pittsburgh. Stay tuned for the scoop.
Alison, i am really looking forward to seeing you tonight in Columbus. I really love your work. My best, Brian Doyle
