This has been an interesting question for us these last couple of years. What’s more important? Appealing to the masses, or appealing to the hipsters? It’s a tough one. I have to say, we’ve definitely had better luck with the masses. We’ve sold cds like crazy, packed loads of clubs, and opened for great national acts. Yet, the Minneapolis music mafia still barely has us on their radar.
I like to play my songs for anyone who will listen and I'll do anything it takes without sacrificing the music itself. But when it all comes down to it, I'm just NOT the new cool thing. ...

So, with as much garbage as you can find on the internet these days...some good does come of it. I received this email yesterday. A man who had never heard of me before, but stumbled across my songs on itunes. I gained a fan. From Saskatchewan no less. Here is what he said:
"The other day I was thinking of the old song 'Can't Find My Way Home'. So I looked for it on itunes and found various versions including Blind Faith and the Johnny Winter live version. But the one that really caught my attention was by a singer I regret I had never heard of - Alison Scott. So I made the purchase...
